Featured MCP is a curated tier of hosted MCP servers you can connect in one step from the Console catalog. Auteryn runs and maintains the server; you supply credentials once, and the agent gets a ready-made set of tools for that service.

Three ways to connect an external service

Auteryn gives you three distinct paths to wire up an outside service. Pick based on how the service authenticates and who hosts the connector.

Managed credential model

For Featured MCP, you paste a service credential (for example, a Shopify admin token or a database connection string) into the connection form. It’s encrypted at rest, and Auteryn uses it to call the hosted MCP server on your behalf. You don’t run or update the server.

Connecting a Featured MCP server

1. Go to Console → Integrations and find the service in the catalog
2. Click Connect
3. Paste the required credential (API key, token, or connection details)
4. Test the connection
5. Attach it to an agent on the Integrations tab

Once attached, its tools appear in the agent runtime alongside your other integrations.

Featured MCP vs. Custom MCP

• Featured MCP — Auteryn hosts and maintains the connector. You only manage credentials. Choose this when the service is in the catalog.
• Custom MCP — you point Auteryn at a server you host. Choose this for internal or niche services not in the catalog. See Custom MCP & Webhooks.
