Three ways to connect a service

Auteryn offers three connection models, depending on how a service authenticates and who hosts the connector:

  • Built-in Integration — one-click OAuth with automatic token refresh, or a short credential form (GitHub, Slack, Google Workspace, Jira, Notion, ServiceNow).
  • Featured MCP — ready-made MCP Integrations, run by Auteryn or by the vendor; you supply a credential once (Sentry, Datadog, Shopify, Stripe, HubSpot, Postgres, Snowflake, BigQuery, and more).
  • Custom MCP — point Auteryn at any MCP endpoint, your own or a vendor’s.

Abilities per agent

When you add an Integration to an agent, you choose its abilities: what the agent may read and what it may change. They start read-only. Each agent has its own set, so two agents can share one connection and still do different things.

  • GitHub: list and read issues, but create none until you allow writes; work only in the repositories you select
  • Jira: search and read issues, but create none until you allow writes
  • Google Drive: only the files you pick — agents can’t browse the rest of your Drive
