Connecting Slack

1. Go to Console → Integrations → Slack
2. Click Connect Slack
3. Select the Slack workspace to connect
4. Review and approve the permissions
5. Click Allow

Whose account does it act as?

Slack connects as the Auteryn Slack app (a bot) — the connection is labeled Team account and posts as the app, not as any individual. Because it’s a bot credential, “acts as each user” isn’t available for Slack.

Configuring channel access

The Auteryn Slack app can post in public channels without an invite. Invite it to any private channel it should post in, and to any channel whose threads it should read. Slack Loops are set up with Add channel in the agent’s Channels section.

Slack as a channel

To answer Slack messages automatically, choose Add channel in an Internal agent’s Channels section and pick your Slack connection (this creates an event Loop). See Deploy → Slack →.
