How credits are consumed

Agent runs bill by actual model usage (cached context bills at about 10% of the normal rate) plus a small per-action fee. Approximate costs:

Estimate your usage

A short Q&A interaction costs ~5–40 credits — the low end once your agent’s context is cached, which it is after the first message. A multi-step research task costs ~50–500 credits depending on how many steps it takes (about 60 for eight model calls). Your in-app credit badge shows an itemized receipt after every run.

Video generation is gated

Video generation is available on Pro and up, with a daily cap of 10 clips per organization on Pro and 50 on Business, and a matching daily cap on total generated seconds (150 on Pro, 800 on Business). Because it’s the most expensive single operation, the agent confirms the estimated cost with you before generating.

The agent doesn’t choose how long a clip runs — the model produces a 3–10 second beat and you’re billed for the seconds it actually returns. Longer pieces are built by extending a clip 10 seconds at a time, up to 40 seconds, and each extension bills only the new seconds. Resolution is the cost dial: 360p and 720p bill at the lower rate, while the 1080p and 4K upscales bill at the higher one.

Image quality tiers

The agent picks an image model to fit the task: a cheaper lite model for backgrounds and simple assets, standard for most images, and a pro model (higher fidelity, up to 4K, plan-gated to Pro and up) for hero, brand, or accurate text-in-image work. You’re billed the chosen tier’s rate per image.

Included infrastructure

Each plan includes sandbox compute hours and storage. Usage within these allowances costs zero credits. Sandbox compute beyond your included hours bills at 1.5 credits/min; storage is an allowance — when you reach it, upgrade your plan for more (there are no surprise storage charges).

Bring your own computer

On paid plans, Internal agents can run on your own Ubuntu/Debian machine instead of the managed cloud sandbox — using your environment, credentials, and network. BYO runs use none of your sandbox compute hours. See Bring Your Own Computer.

Rendering allowance

Some jobs run in a short-lived container of their own rather than in your sandbox: exporting a presentation to PDF or video, and rendering diagrams. That work is metered per second against a separate monthly allowance.

Rendering costs no credits and uses none of your sandbox compute hours — it’s a separate allowance, and most work never comes close to it. A typical presentation export takes a few seconds; the Free allowance covers roughly a hundred of them.

This one is a hard limit

Unlike sandbox compute, rendering has no overage on any self-serve plan — including Pro and Business. When the allowance is used up, render jobs stop with “Monthly task-compute allowance exhausted for this plan” until your billing period resets or you upgrade. Everything else about the agent keeps working; only the render step is affected.

Controlling spend

• Free plan is hard-capped: runs stop at your monthly credits, and each individual run is capped at 150 credits.
• Rendering has its own monthly allowance on every self-serve plan and does not accept overage — see Rendering allowance.
• Auto top-up (paid plans): choose a pack, a threshold, and a monthly cap you control — we only buy a pack automatically when you run low, never past your cap. Configure it in Settings → Billing → Overview.
• Every run’s cost is itemized in the workspace receipt and the usage dashboard.

Credit consumption order: your included monthly credits are spent first, then your purchased credits. Included credits reset each billing cycle, so spending them first means nothing you’ve already paid for is wiped at renewal while purchased credits sit unused. Purchased credits carry over forever.
